Doxycycline, also known as Doxy, is an antibiotic taken orally for 10 to 14 days (10 days for doxycycline and 14 days for the alternatives: amoxicillin, cefuroxime axetil, or phenoxymethylpenicillin). Doxy paralyzed me overnight! I was prescribed a a 14 day supply of Doxycycline from the hospital. In my opinion, it is the worst thing to prescribe. I have heard several horror stories from other people who have lost movement or feeling after taking their prescription. What were you prescribed?
